The Chedi Muscat

I like everything. I'd like to thank MANAR from the reception , she is the only one that makes a difference and create a welcoming atmosphere. I also would like to thank NASSER from the concierge desk for everything. The omani employees are so professionalism and friendly.

We had a fantastic stay at The Chedi. The hotel has excellent facilities - quite modern, but with a distinct Omani style. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, and serviced regularly and invisibly for the guests. The main restaurant (which has a funky name - The Restaurant) provides fantastic breakfast and very high-quality a la carte dinner (not cheap!). Of the hotel facilities there are several highlights - an excellent gym, which is a joy to visit, a very long swimming pool (over 100m) and striking night views of the hotel territory, when the lights are on and live fires are set in special bowls here and there. Special mention goes to the hotel staff who gave us great care and attention, everywhere really - at the reception, at the restaurant, in bars, at the pool and in the gym. I have to say special thanks to Ahmed, the barmen at the Serai pool bar, who was particularly warm and friendly to us and also showed to us what the legendary Omani hospitality is like in real life. Not much to do for younger kids, but otherwise an excellent choice for families and couples.

The Chedi Muscat is a beautiful hotel with incredible service. The exterior is stunning, and the staff went above and beyond—one even found and brought me some chocolate when I asked. The food was fantastic, the beach and swimming pools were gorgeous, and the boutique shop offered amazing perfumes and clothes. We also highly recommend arranging a car through the concierge — it’s great value and so much easier than dealing with the airport. I really loved the hotel and asked about extending our stay for one more night. However, the price they quoted was almost €200 more than if I had booked through Booking.com. When I asked why they couldn’t offer the same or even a better rate since we were already staying there, the response was simply, “It is what it is.” This felt a bit disappointing, especially for a hotel of this caliber.

We arrived a little early, and were checked into our room with no issue. The rest of the day until 4pm, when we had a tour booked, was spent just relaxing around the hotel having a coffee and cake and walking along the beach path. We enjoyed the beautifully calm atmosphere with the water features, the breakfast offering and variety was superb. Always very friendly and helpful service and the swimming pools at the end of our second day (100-meter pool) was absolutely amazing and we stayed until well after the cauldrons were lit. The room service updates were exceptional.

Absolutely stunning grounds, well-maintained - I loved the symmetry, clean lines and the fountains. The breakfast choice was extensive. We used the beachside restaurant and the main restaurant, both offering a good menu - the beachside restaurant had an amazing setting. The staff were helpful, welcoming and professional - nothing was too much bother.
