The Chedi Muscat

We had a fantastic stay at The Chedi. The hotel has excellent facilities - quite modern, but with a distinct Omani style. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped, and serviced regularly and invisibly for the guests. The main restaurant (which has a funky name - The Restaurant) provides fantastic breakfast and very high-quality a la carte dinner (not cheap!). Of the hotel facilities there are several highlights - an excellent gym, which is a joy to visit, a very long swimming pool (over 100m) and striking night views of the hotel territory, when the lights are on and live fires are set in special bowls here and there. Special mention goes to the hotel staff who gave us great care and attention, everywhere really - at the reception, at the restaurant, in bars, at the pool and in the gym. I have to say special thanks to Ahmed, the barmen at the Serai pool bar, who was particularly warm and friendly to us and also showed to us what the legendary Omani hospitality is like in real life. Not much to do for younger kids, but otherwise an excellent choice for families and couples.

The vibe of the property, the views are amazing, our guest service gentleman was a very warm and welcoming and was really a highlight for service especially because it was our first interaction at the property. The pools are calm, beautiful and relaxing. The rooms are unique to say the least but comfortable and very clean non the less. Most staff are really nice, welcoming and warm. The breakfast was also amazing and the staff at breakfast was really good. The room service and house keeping were very fast, professional and accommodating. Location is a bit far from most tourist places but it was nice to have a place outside the business of the city to relax.

Absolutely stunning grounds, well-maintained - I loved the symmetry, clean lines and the fountains. The breakfast choice was extensive. We used the beachside restaurant and the main restaurant, both offering a good menu - the beachside restaurant had an amazing setting. The staff were helpful, welcoming and professional - nothing was too much bother.

From the moment we arrived, we knew we were in for something special. This hotel exceeded every expectation, offering a perfect blend of comfort, elegance, and outstanding service. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel welcomed and valued throughout our stay. And a big Thank you for Ms. Aisha from the recaption. The room was immaculate, spacious, beautifully designed, and equipped with all the amenities one could need. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, and I appreciated the attention to detail, from the quality of the linens to the thoughtful touches like fresh fruit and bottled water. the breakfast buffet was one of the best I’ve had—fresh, diverse, and presented with care. A true highlight of our stay was the spa experience. The massage was absolutely wonderful, deeply relaxing and expertly done. The spa staff were highly professional, skilled, and respectful, creating a peaceful environment that helped me fully unwind. It was one of the best massages we’ve ever had and a key reason why we’d return.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, with three pools, an amazing well kept outdoor area, gym and restaurants and bars. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming and very attentive. They give you free minty lemon water throughout the day as you are lounging by the pool and refill it constantly. There are many lounge chairs and sofas around the pool areas and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Recommend the pool by the beach for the best sunset photos. Our room was great with two sinks, comfy robes and bed was very comfortable. Soft drinks and fruit were complementary. Breakfast was exceptional with so many choices.
